Electric Power Industry Communication Reference Laboratory

Overview

Niroo Research Institute Labs provide classification and technical assurance along with software, and independent expertise advisory services to industries. Reference Electric Power Industry Communication Laboratory also provide certification services to customers across a wide range of corporations.

We started working in September 2007 at Niroo Research Institute in order to perform Type Tests and Sample Tests on the telecommunications equipment used in the electric power industry to increase the reliability of this equipment.

Mission

Lab focuses specifically on the following areas:

Carrying out type and sample tests of PLC (Power Line Carrier) telecommunication equipment according to IEC 60495 standard
Conducting typical and sample tests of TPS (Tele Protection System) equipment according to IEC 60834-1 standard
Carrying out typical and sample tests of the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) according to Tavanir recipe
Conducting type and sample tests of Line Trap equipment according to IEC 60353 standard
Conducting type and sample tests of equipment Line Matching Unit (LMU) according to IEC 60481 standard
Conducting some typical tests of radio communication equipment
Conducting tests on domestically manufactured telecommunications products to check compliance with standards in the design and construction stages
Providing technical consultation services to solve design problems of telecommunication systems
